47^th Annual Las Vegas/Larry Burgess Invitational Cross Country Meet

OPEN TO ALL OUT-OF-STATE TEAMS & ALL JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL RUNNERS

The course is flat & fast - run on grass and dirt paths.

The LVI had over 1000 athletes last year.  We expect more athletes for great competition and even faster times this year.  The meet will be co-hosted by Basic High School & DeStatNV.  Food, drinks, and meet T-shirts will be available. There are several shady grass areas for all teams & their tents.

Awards:  

Top 10 runners medal in the Open race. 

Top 10 Girls and Top 10 Boys medal in the Middle School race.

Top 15 runners medal in the Frosh/Soph races and the JV races and Small School Varsity races. 

The Top 20 runners will medal in the Large School Varsity race.  

Trophies will be given to the Top 2 teams in the Frosh/Soph, JV and Small School Varsity races.

Trophies to the Top 3 teams in the Large School Varsity races.

A new addition: GRAND CHAMPION Trophy.  This will be for the team that has the lowest combined score of their Frosh/Soph, JV and Varsity teams. One Girl’s and one Boy’s Grand Champion Trophy.

Entries & Entry Fees:

All entries must be made on http://www.athletic.net. Entry deadline is Wednesday September, 7^th at 6:00 p.m..

Large/Small school Division will depend solely on which one the coach enters them in on Athletic.net.

The meet entry fee will be $6.00 per runner with no cap for large teams.

An additional fee of $2.00 per athlete will be assessed for all late entries.

** NOTE** There is a $50 Cancellation Fee for any team that enters the meet via Athletic.net and no shows. 

**Coaches** By entering an athlete in this competition, you are certifying that the athlete is conditioned and trained to run in the Southern Nevada heat.  Entering your athletes means they are ready for the rigors of the distance and heat this race very often presents.
